What are Glad Libs?
You’ve probably heard of the word game Mad Libs, but did you know that the catchy title is actually derived from the Latin words “ad libitum” which means “as you wish/desire”?
This “Glad Libs” version of the word game we’ve created is designed to help shift your emotional state up the Emotional Guidance Scale one better feeling emotion at a time.
The purpose of this process is two-fold:
- To own where you are vibrationally and be aware of the thoughts that are producing the emotions you’re experiencing.
- And to help shift your thoughts and emotions from where you are to a higher place on the emotional guidance scale in order to feel better.
How Glad Libs Works

Identify your current emotional state and the thought or thought patterns that produced it.
It’s not always easy identifying what thoughts are producing negative emotion. This process is most helpful if you are aware of the subject that is causing you to feel out of alignment and if you can identify the associated thought or thought patterns that are causing the negative emotion.

Fill in the blanks with better and better feeling emotions and thoughts.
This is the fun “work” of finding a better feeling place than where you currently are. It may take you a few minutes to formulate thoughts that correspond to the different emotions, but don’t worry about it being perfect! You’ll get better at it as you continue to do this process. Have fun with it!

Intentionally activate these new, better feeling thoughts when you find old thought patterns repeating themselves.
Use these higher vibration thoughts you come up with in your “Glad Libs” as your anchors and choose to activate them instead when you find yourself slipping into the same old thought patterns. Once you become aware that the thoughts that are keeping you out of alignment are simply thoughts that can be replaced with new thoughts of your choosing, the negative thought patterns begin to stick out like the wrong chord struck in a song.
