What is the Emotional Guidance Scale (EGS)?
The Emotional Guidance Scale, inspired by the teachings of Abraham Hicks, is a powerful tool designed to help individuals understand and navigate their emotions. It provides a map of vibrational frequency, illustrating how emotions range from the lowest states of despair and powerlessness to the highest states of joy, love, and empowerment.
At Vibration Fit, we emphasize that life is vibrationally based, and the emotions we experience reflect our alignment—or misalignment—with our true self. Our emotions serve as an internal guidance system, letting us know whether our current thoughts and focus are closing the gap between us and our infinite self (higher vibration) or widening the gap between us and our infinite self (lower vibration).

The Upward and Downward Spirals
Our Emotional Guidance Scale mimics spirals because we can vibrationally “spiral” up or down in our emotions due to the Law of Attraction bringing like thoughts to us and those thoughts building momentum. Like energy attracts like energy, and as we focus on a particular vibration, similar thoughts and emotions compound in intensity.
- The upward spiral (upward arrow) represents emotions from contentment (7) to joy, knowledge, empowerment, freedom, love, and appreciation (1). As we sustain positive focus, the momentum of higher vibration expands and becomes easier to maintain. The better it gets, the better you feel. The better you feel, the better it gets!
- The downward spiral (downward arrow) represents emotions from boredom (8) to fear, grief, depression, and powerlessness (22). The spiral widens as it descends, signifying that negative momentum builds and becomes increasingly intense as you move downward.
This illustrates why it’s important to recognize where you are emotionally and choose the next best-feeling thought, rather than trying to make an extreme emotional leap. For example, moving from depression (22) directly to joy (1) is difficult, but shifting step-by-step—from despair to anger, then to frustration, then to hope—is much more achievable.
The Green Line: Living Vibrationally Fit
At Vibration Fit, we encourage people to cultivate vibrational fitness by staying above the green line—which begins at contentment (7) and moves upward. Living above the green line means consistently accessing emotional states that serve as a foundation for positive manifestations. When you’re above the green line:

✅ You are in alignment with your true self and Source energy
✅ You develop a resilient vibrational state, making it easier to maintain higher emotions
Conversely, when below the green line, the pull of negative momentum can make it harder to shift gears, which is why deliberate vibrational exercises, or tuning, are key to raising your vibration intentionally.
Using the Emotional Guidance Scale as a Daily Practice
The Emotional Guidance Scale serves as a practical framework for conscious creation. Instead of reacting to life, you can use your emotions as indicators to make deliberate shifts in your vibration.

- Where am I on the scale right now?
- What thought can I choose that feels slightly better?
- How can I cultivate momentum upward by focusing on appreciation, fun, or relief?
